Basically yes. Ditch the friends, or just phase them out of your life slowly. Their constant peer pressure is adding to your depression (but is not the cause of it). You should see a doctor about your depression. Or try St John's Wort (it's a non-prescription antidepressant which you'll find in most health stores). I wouldn't buy it off the net as you never know what you're getting.
As for girls, I'm afraid I can't advise about them. I gave up on women after several bad breakups.

I corrected it for you. The guy is depressed and, although your statements were littered with truth, they were presented in a very cynical manner, which won't help the OP. I understand where you're coming from though.
